I really want to talk to my doctor about possible infertility options but I am 20. I want to know if this is to young to seek treatment. I will graduate nursing school in december. I have been with my boyfriend (we are planning on getting married after I graduate) since I was thirteen and we have our own house together… I have always wanted to have a family when I was younger. I have set up my education and finances to support this. But then I found out i have endometriosis and it’s put a twist in my plans. Thanks for your advice (I have a doctors appointment Nov. 4th to talk to him about it)
I had endometriosis found out when I was 18 as I was trying to get pregnant with my then boyfriend. August 03 I had a laparoscopy to remove the scar tissue/ endometriosis. I was then told 50/50 chance of ever getting pregnant.
Sure enough March 04 6mths after my operation I was pregnant, My daughter is now 4yrs old. What were my chances of getting pregnant again, I was told 70% since I had a healthy pregnancy and birth.
Got pregnant 6mths after she was born but then miscarried. My ex was abusive thankfully I have left him now, I did get pregnant 2 more times after that but went through terminations for reasons cos of him.
Now I have a 9mth old baby girl and my 2girls are my world!! There is hope depending on how bad your endometriosis is mine luckily was very early, but I still have chances of it coming back!! Stay positive but its good to deal with it as early as you can so you are ready and prepared!! Hope that helps
Goodluck
